As Bravo’s Top Chef season 23 nears its grand finale, Fodor’s got the chance to sit down with six fan favorites from this season. Based in the Carolinas, this season’s cheftestants have been tasked with everything from mayo-based menus to catching their own proteins, to creating a restaurant from the ground up in the series famed Restaurant Wars.

We decided to help them blow off a little steam with some fun questions geared towards all things travel and food—because who else would have the details on the perfect foodie-forward itinerary?
