The southwest coast of Singapore stretches from Queenstown to Bukit Merah, encompassing the iconic Southern Ridges—a seamless span of green parks linked by a 10-km (6.2-mile) trail. Queenstown is home to the National University of Singapore, so you’ll often find crowds of young people in the local bars. Bukit Merah, near Tiong Bahru and Chinatown, is a popular residential area thanks to its many green parks.
