Holguin

If you've made it as far as Holguín (pronounced ohl-GHEEN), Cuba's fourth-largest city, you're probably headed for the beach resorts at Guardalavaca 50 km (31 miles) north. Most foreign visitors take in the city as a day tour from those resorts—Holguín does contain a handful of interesting sights. You'll encounter a couple of acceptable lodging options here if you need to spend the night.
