ABOUT

A trip to the Bering Land Bridge National Preserve will get you off the beaten path to a place that goes beyond gold rushes and the quest for the end of the road. This expanse of historic tundra contains coastal beach environments, sand dunes, mountains, and lakes created by ancient lava flows. A great diversity of animals, birds, and plants are found throughout this region, with many having origins in Asia. Travelers need to be adventurous and self-reliant; only six cabins offer emergency shelter in an area of nearly 3 million acres.
