Anyone who loves to cook will enjoy browsing this well-equipped Fredericksburg mainstay which, after decades in town, has recently moved to the beautiful old historic stone Keidel Memorial Hospital building. And, in a fun twist of fate, the owner is the daughter of a doctor who practiced medicine here until the 1990s.

Magnolia Pearl

It’s worth venturing a bit outside town to visit Magnolia Pearl, a unique shop in a multistory barn that features the eclectic designs of San Antonio native Robin Brown, the owner/designer whose elevated shabby chic and collectible pieces, made with distressed fabrics and a purely Texas twist, have been called “farmhouse boho chic, a mashup of Alice in Wonderland and Oliver Twist."  A favorite of celebrities like Taylor Swift and Johnny Depp, everything is quite pricey, but if something catches your eye, be warned: it will be hard to resist!

Piccolina

Originally a popup, this tiny stone storefront with outdoor seating is where owner Christina Harman, inspired by her love of the Amalfi Coast, whips up her small-batch Italian ices and gelato made with locally sourced ingredients. Piccolina is a happy place, filled with fresh flowers and delicious flavors that just make people feel good. Try the fresh-squeezed lemonade, or ices made with Prosecco and dubbed The Proseccolina.

The Tasting Place

A big ole taste of Texas awaits at this delightful gourmet food shop, also known as Rustlin’ Rob's Texas Gourmet Food. The shop features a vast and irresistible range of hot sauce, salsa, jerky, preserves, and rubs and spices, almost all made in Texas. As a nod to Fredericksburg’s German roots, they also offer spices for German mulled wine.
