Stonewall

City
ABOUT

The tiny town of Stonewall, on the Pedernales River, was a stagecoach stop in 1870 on the San Antonio–Fredericksburg route. Now it is renowned for the sweetness of its peaches, and it engages in a fierce rivalry with its much-larger neighbor, Fredericksburg, over who grows the sweetest peaches in Texas. Honestly, they both do, though Stonewall does host the Annual Peach Jamboree and Rodeo, on the third full weekend of June, which carries a lot of credibility in these parts, and is always a lot of fun.
