11 Best Places to Shop in Jackson, Jackson Hole and Northwest Wyoming

A go-to shop for climbers for more than 50 years, Teton Mountaineering specializes in alpine touring, climbing, hiking equipment, and clothing.

Valley Bookstore has been a Jackson mainstay since 1949. It ranks among the top bookstores in the region, with a big selection of local history, guidebooks on flora and fauna, and fiction by Wyoming authors, some of whom are local to Jackson. Knowledgeable staff can answer almost any question about the area.

From rods to reels and waders, Westbank Anglers can provide all the equipment necessary for fly-fishing. They also offer guided fishing trips on the legendary Snake River.

In 6,000 square feet, Wilcox Gallery showcases wildlife and landscape paintings, sculpture, pottery, and other works by contemporary artists. Owner Jim Wilcox has won the highest honors at Prix de West several times for his breathtaking landscapes.

At Wild by Nature Gallery, most of the fine-art photographs are of local wildlife and landscapes captured by Henry W. Holdsworth; there's also a nice selection of books and greeting cards.
