Outside Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park is a destination, not something to see as you pass through the area, and it covers a lot of ground. It's easily possible—and sometimes the most convenient strategy—to spend nearly your entire time within the park itself. That said, towns just outside the park contain numerous sights to see and outdoor activities, not to mention upscale resorts and destination restaurants.
