Tarkine Wilderness Lodge
This superb country lodge sits atop a grassy rise on the edge of the ancient Tarkine rain forest. Marsupials and eagles visit regularly to feed, the resident wombats often saunter by. The rain forest on the property is remnant from the times of Gondwana, with one tree dating up to 1,000 years old. Trails leading through the forest to the Arthur River can be guided by the host or self-guided. There are three styles of accommodation: lodge rooms, camping, and a caravan park
