Franklin Manor
On a hillside overlooking the harbor, this century-old mansion is surrounded by landscaped gardens that skirt the edge of the forest wilderness. Charmingly decorated rooms, some with fireplaces and hot tubs, are in the main house, while the separate, self-contained, open-plan Stables cottages each sleep five. The restaurant serves local produce like lobster, oysters, and pot-roasted quail.
