Anguilla Sands and Salts

Fodor's choice

Gorgeous jewelry, unique souvenirs, bath salts, body scrubs, and infused sea salt are handmade at this charming local shop. Jewelry created with sand from the island's beaches allows you to take a piece of your favorite beach with you. The sea salts are infused with herbs like rosemary, thyme, onion, garlic, and curry. Fun theme nights include Margarita Thursday, when the back patio transforms into a hangout for locals and visitors and margaritas are served (in sea salt--rimmed glasses, of course).

Boutique Bijoux

It's almost impossible to leave without buying something at this cute store in Sandy Ground; it's the place for fun handmade sterling silver jewelry, fabulous hand bags and totes, cover-ups, and handmade souvenirs.

Devonish Art Gallery

This gallery purveys the wood, stone, and clay creations of Courtney Devonish, an internationally known potter and sculptor, plus creations by his wife, Carolle, a bead artist. Works by other Caribbean artists and regional antique maps are also available.

L. Bernbaum Art Gallery

Originally from Texas, Lynne Bernbaum has been working and living in the Caribbean for decades and exhibits around the world. Her paintings and prints are inspired by the island's natural beauty but have unusual perspectives and a hint of surrealism. The gallery is open Wednesday through Saturday 11–5 pm.

Paint Studios

This delightful gallery and art studio in Shoal Bay East not only offers beautiful pieces by local artists but also spectacular views of the turquoise waters of one of the island's best beaches. Owned and operated by Anguilla resident and artist Emily Garlick, Paint is much more than just a place where art is exhibited. There are four resident artists that use the space to work, allowing you to be a part of their creative process. Next to art events and exhibits, this studio also hosts paint classes for kids and adults, including their popular "Sip and Paint" events.
