Hotels on the island are categorized as low-rise or high-rise and are grouped in two distinct areas along L.G. Smith and J.E. Irausquin boulevards north of Oranjestad. The low-rise properties are closer to the capital, the high-rises in a swath a little farther north. Hotel rates, with the exception of those at a few all-inclusives, generally do not include meals or even breakfast. The larger resorts are destinations unto themselves, with shopping, entertainment, and casinos.
Set upon three acres of private property, this shiny, 30-feet travel trailer provides one of the most unique and pristine stays in nature on the island. Though not right on the water, the property offers a complimentary shuttle to its own Palm Beach area with lounges. Onsite dining options are a tad limited, but the charming Clover Café is unique with dedicated coffee and tea baristas, and there is an interesting extra of a floating breakfast in the pool. Better still, the property is steps away from the scads of restaurants and bars of Palm Beach Plaza, Paseo Herencia, and The Cove Mall. There is a small spa and a fitness center onsite, and a number of cool activities, like floating yoga, are on offer. The adult-only rooftop infinity pool is a romantic spot for sunsets over a distant sea.

A crystal chandelier hangs over a grand piano and the fully-equipped kitchen is restaurant-sized. There are three bedrooms, each decked out in its own theme, but the master bedroom reigns supreme, with an outdoor soaking tub and rain shower in a private tropical garden. One of the few high-rise resorts in the Eagle Beach area, this sprawling property opened its doors in 2023 with modern, smartly designed efficiency suites decorated in Caribbean color accents and food and beverage options provided by the brand's signature Brickstone outlets. Outside, a massive expanse of pool and lounging areas are catered to by the Splash Grill and stand-alone pool bar and can accommodate large groups with ease. For the top level of luxury, book a corner suite on the highest floor for wrap-around balconies and extra space. Though not right on the beach, ocean views from higher levels are spectacular, and nature views facing the marshlands are unique. Room service is also available.
This family-friendly all-inclusive is a massive complex surrounding an expansive beachfront water circuit with a choice of five restaurants and scads of free activities. Rooms are spacious and nicely appointed, but for extra luxury book a Jacuzzi suite. Though they discourage spring break–style partiers, the vibe is always very high-energy, loud, and lively. Right next door, adults can enjoy the Orchid Casino and join the famous RIU brand theme parties at the sister resort, Hotel Riu Palace Antillas.

Premium all-inclusive packages also available. Try to snag the spacious one-bedroom second floor corner suite—here's only one, but it's spectacular.
