The Best Hotel in St. Martin, The Pfalz and Rhine Terrace

This simple vintner's house has been transformed into a fine, family-friendly hotel and restaurant, retaining many of the original features, such as exposed beams and an old winepress. Though it's in the center of town, the hotel is peaceful, particularly the rooms with balconies overlooking the garden. Good value fixed-priced menus are served in the traditional-style dining room, or outside on the terrace on fine days (closed Mondays and Tuesdays). The wine list offers a good selection of bottles from a neighboring estate, Altes Schlösschen.
