Castellammare del Golfo

City
ABOUT

Of the series of seaside towns and resorts strung along the coast west of Palermo, Castellammare del Golfo is the biggest and the most attractive. Sailboats and fishing boats crowd its small harbor, which is backed by smart seafood restaurants. At one end stands the heavily restored Norman castle from which the town takes its name, now hosting a town museum and occasional exhibitions. High above, the broad Largo Petrolo offers compelling sea views and is a venue for lively passeggiatas and, in summer, crafts markets.
