Filicudi

Island
ABOUT

Just a dot in the sea, Filicudi is famous for its unusual volcanic rock formations, the enchanting Grotta del Bue Marino (Grotto of the Sea Ox), and the crumbled remains of a prehistoric village at Capo Graziano. The island, which is spectacular for walking and hiking, is still a truly undiscovered, restful haven, and has a handful of hotels and pensioni as well as some more informal rooms with families who put up guests. Car ferries are available only in summer.
