In Cais do Sodré, the famous Rua Cor da Rosa (which locals call Pink Street because of the rosy-colored pavement) rivals Bairro Alto for late-night partying. From this central locale, it's a couple of minutes on the train to the tapas bars and tascas of hilly Santos. One stop farther takes you to Alcântara, where hipsters flock to the collection of bars at LX Factory and well-heeled types hangout at smart nightspots on the waterfront.
