Village by BOA

$$$ | R. do Bonjardim 541, Porto, 4000-126, Portugal Fodor's Choice

From the welcome baskets filled with local wine, chocolates, and other goodies to the 24-hour delicatessen and gym and round-the-clock keyless entrance, it's rare to find an aparthotel that anticipates guests' needs as thoughtfully as Village by BOA. The project, which opened in 2021, has transformed a small neighborhood of former workers' lodgings in Porto’s historic center into 40 cozy studios and duplex apartments, set around flower-filled gardens. Guests here are a quick stroll from Porto's famous Bolhão market, and well-equipped kitchenettes in each of the lodgings make it easy to prepare meals with market-fresh products. There's no restaurant, but beautifully packaged breakfast baskets are delivered in-room each morning.

  • Staff on hand when needed
  • Right next door to metro

Cons

  • No pool or restaurant
