4 Best Hotels in Hollywood, Los Angeles

Background Illustration for Hotels

With easy access to the Walk of Fame and trendy nightlife, Hollywood caters to partygoers and action-seekers. Movie buffs may take days exploring the vicinity, but most travelers usually spend some time walking along Hollywood Boulevard, which is a congested strip of historic theaters, bars, restaurants, and kitschy (and sometimes tacky) shops. Many hotels in the area, however, offer great views of the Hollywood sign, and Universal Studios theme park is one or two Metro stops away. This area can be rough at night. Nearby in Los Feliz and Silver Lake, you’ll find historic walkable neighborhoods packed with boutiques and cafés.

Jump start the day with a favorite beverage from cappuccinos to matcha lattes paired with house-made pastries or go for a hearty full American breakfast. Proximity to the Pantages Theatre and the Hollywood Bowl makes the Everly very popular on performance nights. At night, the lobby transforms into Written Hand, the hotel’s upscale dinner spot. Magic Castle Hotel

$$ | 7025 Franklin Ave., Los Angeles, CA, 90028, USA

There's nothing thematic about the guest room decor, but guests at this hotel can secure advance dinner reservations and attend magic shows at the Magic Castle, a private club in a 1908 mansion next door for magicians and their admirers. (The club requires jacket and tie for men; kids are allowed only during brunch on weekends. Advance reservations a must.)
