PGA National Resort & Spa

$$$ | 400 Ave. of the Champions, FL, 33418, USA Fodor's Choice

This golfer's paradise, home to five championship courses and the site of the yearly Honda Classic pro-tour tournament, is a sleek modern playground with a gorgeous zero-entry lagoon pool, seven different places to eat, and a full-service spa with unique mineral-salt therapy pools. The clubhouse is massive, but since the course is open only to hotel guests and members, the greens are not overcrowded. In 2022, the resort unveiled a $100 million overhaul, which gave rooms a 1960s feel, with wing-back headboards, custom vintage black-and-white palm-leaf wallpaper, and plush area rugs.  At the spacious pool, comfy loungers abound, and servers rush over to take your drink order. The spa, which is open to the public and very well respected by locals for its frequent packages, was reimagined by Venus Williams–founded design group V Starr. It includes two Himalayan salt rooms and outdoor therapy pools—two with healing salts from the Dead Sea and France's Pyrenees and a cold plunge—a real treat.
