The Best Bar in Universal Orlando, Florida

Background Illustration for Nightlife

With the wide range of nightlife you'll find at Universal, you may get the feeling that you're vacationing not in Orlando but in New York City. CityWalk's stores open by midmorning, and its restaurants come to life between lunchtime and late afternoon. Eateries that double as nightclubs (such as Pat O'Brien's, Bob Marley’s, and the Red Coconut Club) start charging a cover before dusk and apply age restrictions (usually 21) around 9 pm. For details on a particular establishment, check with Guest Services (aka Guest Relations). A Party Pass ($11.90) is good for admission to the clubs of CityWalk, and Universal's hefty $20 parking fee is waived after 6 pm.

Hard Rock Cafe

CityWalk

The Hard Rock Cafe here is the largest on Earth, which means you can see plenty of memorabilia, including such Beatles rarities as John Lennon's famous New York City T-shirt, Paul's original lyrics for "Let It Be," and the doors from London's Abbey Road studios. The food's great, too. Next door, the Hard Rock Live concert hall (the "Coliseum of Rock") hosts comedians, solo acts, and internationally recognized bands that make it one of the most popular venues at Universal. A few drawbacks: the seating's not the greatest, and if you arrive at the door carrying a large purse or bags, it won't be time to rock, it'll be time to walk—about a quarter-mile back to the parking garage to stow your stuff.
