A cluster of Cook pines in the center of Lanai City surrounded by small shops and restaurants, Dole Park is the closest thing to a mall on Lanai. Except for high-end resort boutiques and pro shops, it's the island's only shopping. A morning or afternoon stroll around the park offers an eclectic selection of gifts and clothing, plus a chance to chat with friendly shopkeepers. Well-stocked general stores are reminiscent of the 1920s, and galleries and a boutique have original art and fashions for everyone.
Spacious and classy, this store has clothing for every need, from casual men's and women's beachwear to evening resort wear, shoes, jewelry, home decor, accessories, and hats. There are also fancy fashions for tots and selections of original Lanai-themed clothing and accessories, as well as items from popular Hawaii brands. Proprietor Jenna Gentry Majkus will mail your purchases.
Local artists display their work at this dynamic center staffed by volunteers (hours are a bit flexible because of this). Workshops in pottery, photography, woodworking, and painting welcome visitors. The gift shop sells Lanai handicrafts and special offerings, the sale of which underwrites children's art classes. The gathering spot also hosts occasional special events for the community.
Lanai's only gas station is a convenient stop to fill your belly, too. The on-site Plantation Deli is famous for its massive sandwiches packed with quality ingredients, as well as other delicious items. Snacks, beer, souvenirs, and friendly faces round out the selection.
One of Lanai City's two all-purpose markets, Pine Isle stocks everything from beach toys and electronics to meats and vegetables. The staff is friendly, and it's the best place around to buy fresh fish.
Here you can stock up on high-quality meats, produce from Lanai's Sensei Farms, fresh fish, fine wines, and imported gourmet items. The market also has a deli, a poke bar, and a bakery.
