Woodstock Country Inn
Hidden in a meadow of wildflowers several hundred yards from the main road, this bed-and-breakfast offers peaceful seclusion and paintings by Woodstock artist Jo Cantine, who built the house and hand-painted many of the furnishings. Guest rooms keep frills to a minimum, instead offering simple luxuries such as 300-thread-count sheets, mountain views, a porch or deck, and a private entrance. Breakfast is lavish and consists of organic fare. There's a beautiful swimming pool that's open from May to October.
