The guest rooms at this sprawling, 80-acre property are large and full of old-school elegance, with giant windows, carpet in rich colors, and plenty of space to sit; it doesn't feel hip and modern, but that's the fun of it and part of what keeps this a local icon. Most guest rooms are spread among several buildings clustered around the outdoor swimming pool, and some are attached to the common public areas via a glassed-in breezeway. Though close to Cheyenne, Little America offers so many amenities that you don't have to go into town if you don't want to, and both its restaurants serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Luxuriously decorated Hathaway's ($$$) has an upscale feel and a menu full of steaks, burgers, and pasta. For a more casual choice, grab a coffee and a bite at Carol's Cafe ($). There's also a nine-hole golf course, gift shop, and 30,000-square-foot conference center on-site.
