13 Best Restaurants in Jackson, Jackson Hole and Northwest Wyoming

Step inside this rambling wine-centric market, bar, and café to stock up on to-go bottles and finely curated picnic supplies, or dine in. The menu tends toward shareable small plates that pair well with the interesting vinos—consider a selection of imported salumi and cheeses, or Spanish- and Italian-inspired platters of patatas bravas with roasted-garlic aioli, burrata caprese, and stuffed piquillo peppers.

This stylish purveyor of locavore-driven modern American cuisine is a popular spot to hit up before attending a show at the nearby Center for the Arts. The menu changes seasonally but might feature a bison brisket accompanied by a farro risotto, homemade truffle pasta, and elk Bolognese. The Gather burger comes with a Wagyu beef blend topped with smoked Gouda. It's probably the only place in town where you can get a traditional root beer float (featuring Henry Reinhard's Root Beer) for dessert. 

In downtown Jackson's dramatic, imaginatively retrofitted Art Deco cinema building, this modern high-energy pizza place has mezzanine and ground-level tables that look directly toward an open kitchen with two massive wood-fired ovens. The flavorful pies and salads abound with mostly organic, often local ingredients. Build your own pizza, or try one of the house specialties. The Bison Son of a Gun features bison chili, and the Tomato Tomato is a hit with vegans.

This contemporary American steak house is located right on Jackson's historic town square and serves locally ranched beef, bison, and elk. Come for a fine-dining quality meal, but without the stuffy atmosphere. You may be sitting next to a member of the Jackson elite or a Wyoming rancher. Bring the family, and order the chef's choice "M&M," a rotating selection of custom steaks served family-style.

Edison bulbs and wooden booths impart a simple but contemporary atmosphere to this modern Korean restaurant on the west side of downtown Jackson, evidence of the town's growing embrace of international cuisine. The kitchen offers up an enticing mix of classics like spicy seafood soup with udon noodles, pork-kimchi stew, and fragrant short-rib barbecue. Of course, you also can't go wrong with what most people opt for: the beef bulgogi. The children's menu has the usuals: chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese, etc. But it also has a kid-sized kimbap. 

Since its opening in 1978, consistently excellent, distinctive fare has been the rule at this white-and-blue clapboard house two blocks from Town Square. The sophisticated offerings range from New Zealand rack of lamb to elk tenderloin with port wine sauce to fresh fish dishes, including rainbow trout. There's patio dining in summer and an excellent wine list. 

Smoked pork shoulder served with an array of house sauces and mouthwatering prime beef brisket are the specialties at this busy barbecue joint, which evokes the Old West with its wooden booths, Western paintings, and antique signs. Sandwiches and salads (try the homemade barbecue ranch dressing) are also available. This is also one of the best breakfast options in Jackson, but there can be long waits in summer or winter. Desserts include homemade chocolate buttermilk pie and ice cream. 

Lunch is served year-round and dinner is served in summer, but it's the breakfasts and home-baked pastries that are irresistible here. It's elbow to elbow inside, so you may have to wait to be seated on busy mornings, but any inconvenience is well worth it. In summer there's outdoor seating.

Dinner at Figs, which is on the first floor of the hip Hotel Jackson, is a hot reservation in a town with no other options for Lebanese food. For breakfast, you can’t go wrong with the shakshuka, but the best way to do lunch or dinner here is to order a bunch of small plates to pass around and maybe get a kebab or shawarma to share. There are only a handful of tables and a few booths, so it is especially busy on weekends, when you are unlikely to land a spot without a reservation.

You'll get more-than-generous portions of Mexican fare at this institution first established in 1969 as a shack on Crabtree Corner. Today, it's a real restaurant, usually noisy and jam-packed, but there's a full-service bar whipping up a must-try Oaxaca old-fashioned that you can sip in the festive atmosphere while waiting for your table. Food favorites include sizzling fajitas, kickin' chicken street tacos, nachos with the rich Twisted Cowgirl queso dip upgrade, and the Piglet Sampler featuring a variety of signature dishes. Choose from an array of homemade sauces to accompany your dish. 

One of Jackson's mainstays for special-occasion dining, this sophisticated restaurant serves creatively prepared dishes using meats and fish loved across the West. The menu changes regularly, reflecting what's available in the market, and the extensive wine list has garnered countless awards.

This posh, and equally pricey, slopeside establishment in the Four Seasons opened in July 2025. While the raw menu boasts a dreamy caviar trio and Wyoming's best attempt at a seafood tower, the melt-in-your-mouth steaks are the real draw here. Opt for the wagyu trio tasting if you want to sample a smattering. Besides beef, you'll also find elk, Idaho trout, Alaska salmon, bison, and pork on the menu. Vegetarians can get by with a risotto or a few sides. While Steadfire Chophouse serves breakfast, too, at eye-popping prices, you’re best saving your budget to splurge at dinner.

Although the crowd here skews older (think baby boomers, not millennials), this is a restaurant where you go for the food, not the vibe. It’s located inside the Wyoming Inn, so there’s no outdoor space, but it’s a cozy place to dine in the winter, and there’s a full-service bar. The food menu is short at only one page, but it’s still hard to decide between entrees like brown butter diver scallops, pumpkin pasta, and Rocky Mountain elk tenderloin. The restaurant closes early, at 9 pm, but it is open again at 7 am and offers some of the most reasonably priced breakfast entrées in Jackson.
