This beloved saloon—nicknamed “The Virg”—has been a favorite Jackson Hole watering hole since the 1970s. It has an outdoor “yard bar” complete with firepits and a walk-up window, so you can order a second round without having to go inside. There's also a swanky cocktail lounge that hosts karaoke, open mic, and disco nights. While the limited menu features a handful of cocktails, most locals sip on “sloshies,” Jackson’s unofficial official drink, which can be purchased at the drive-thru liquor store on-site. Hungry saloon-goers order pub grub from the on-site Billy’s Burgers.
A trendy go-to for après-ski and posthike relaxation and socializing, this dapper lounge with bordello-inspired chandeliers, brocade wallpaper, and red-leather booths pours interesting cocktails with artisan spirits. Come for the drinks, stay for the DJ who plays on the weekends.
Founded in 1942, the beloved Stagecoach Bar fills to bursting when local bands play. Most Thursdays in the winter are disco nights, but you'll also find plenty of swing dancers. "The Coach" is a good place to enjoy a drink and conversation earlier in the day, and there's an adjacent Mexican café–and–street food joint kitchen where you can grab a quick bite.
