Constitution Dock is the perfect place for yacht-watching, as well as gobbling fresh fish-and-chips from one of the punts (floating fish-and-chips shops) moored on the water. Ask for the daily specials, such as local blue grenadier or trevally, which cost A$7–A$16, or go for some freshly shucked oysters. The city's main restaurant areas include the docks and the streets around Salamanca Place.
Fico is influenced by the tables of Europe but the produce is proudly Tasmanian; you might find fallow deer on the menu one night, or central Tasmanian truffles the next. While the nine-course menu is ever-changing it is consistently creative and interesting.
