The Best Hotel in Grenada

Background Illustration for Hotels

Hotels and resorts in Grenada tend to be small, with friendly and attentive management and staff. All guest rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, an in-room TV, and telephone unless indicated otherwise. Most also offer complimentary Wi-Fi. During the off-season (April 15 to December 15), rates at resorts may be discounted up to 40%; however, rates at some small hotels remain the same year-round.

Clustered on a 2-acre hillside overlooking mile-long Magazine Beach, each of Maca Bana's seven private villas ("banas") has a great view—of the white sand below, out to sea, up the coastline to pretty St. George's Harbour, and beyond toward cloud-capped mountains. Villas ('banas) accommodate two to six people, but families with young children should be aware of the steep terrain and koi ponds. Roomy kitchens are fully equipped, including an espresso machine and groceries for your first breakfast. Each villa is named for a tropical fruit, a theme that carries through to the decor. And each has a spacious verandah with a private massaging hot tub. A small but inviting infinity pool is open to all guests. This tiny boutique resort is truly green. The water heaters and kitchen appliances are all solar-powered, and verdant gardens studded with fruit trees and herbal plants are nurtured with compost from the Aquarium Restaurant at the bottom of the hill.
