This log lodge–style bed-and-breakfast, undergoing major renovations in 2025 and 2026, was built out of reclaimed wood from the 1988 Yellowstone National Park wildfire. With only ten rooms, every guest receives special attention, and it's a popular wedding venue. Although the rooms are well-appointed, you may want to just relax by the three-story river rock fireplace in the Great Room. 

A guest ranch in the summer, a ski and snowmobile hub in winter, this historic mountain lodge on Brooks Lake combines great scenery with service and amenities, including all meals, which are served in the lodge dining room. Built in 1922, the lodge has massive open-beam ceilings, spacious rooms, subtle lighting, and log, leather, and wicker furnishings. Each of the lodge bedrooms and cabins has handcrafted lodgepole-pine furniture, and all cabins have panoramic views of the Wind River Range; some overlook Brooks Lake. Take a guided hike, go horseback riding, fly-fish, or canoe on the lake in summer. In winter you can take dogsled or snowmobile rides with outfitters. Year-round, enjoy a drink in the small bar or tea in the lodge den; many evenings include music and other entertainment before or during dinner.

This swank, LEED-certified hotel built of iron, repurposed barn wood, and natural stone opened in 2015 on the site of a Victorian-era hotel of the same name and added new rooms, suites, and a state-of-the-art fitness center in 2025. It feels at once ruggedly Western and pleasingly cosmopolitan, with guest rooms and common spaces filled with artful, comforting touches. The spacious accommodations have gas fireplaces, plush linens, big closets designed to store hiking and ski gear, and airy bathrooms, some with big soaking tubs and walk-in showers. Top-floor rooms have balconies, too. The restaurant, Figs, serves first-rate Middle Eastern fare, and the rooftop hot tub is a fine place to soak your muscles after a day of outdoor adventures. Hotel Jackson has valet parking and complimentary cookies and fruit in the lobby, too. 

The opulent Hotel Terra takes green hospitality to the next level, but it's also luxe to the core, with a hip, urban feel and all the amenities the price tag suggests. From the bottle-free water stations to the abundance of natural light, there's a true conservation mind-set at the heart of this hotel. Studios, which don't cost much more than the standard rooms, include a fireplace, a kitchen, and a seating area. Il Villaggio Osteria is a sexy space with a top-notch wine list, and the rooftop hot tub fills up fast. Meanwhile, the outdoor infinity pool, filled with saltwater instead of chlorinated water, is stunning.

Pinedale's first lodging opened in 1929 as seven cabins and a washhouse; a major remodel was completed in 2021 to bring it up to speed. A lot has changed in town since 1929, but the Log Cabin Motel has been the one constant. The Log Cabin Motel consists of 10 two-room cabins and 3 one-room cabins geared toward families and solo travelers. Dogs are also welcome.

The Lander flour mill was built in 1888 and remained in operation in 1950, becoming a local institution and one of the first buildings you see upon entering the town. With body wraps, massages, and facials, the spa on the first floor is a nice extra. Bison, venison, and halibut are all on the menu at the intimate Wild Sage restaurant, and there's valet parking. 

With the exception of wildlife, you'll enjoy maximum privacy at this luxurious vacation rental surrounded by 3 acres of aspen and pine trees frequented by moose, deer, and other wildlife. Most of the rooms have a handcrafted log bed and a private deck with plenty of outdoor seating. The kids, meanwhile, will have fun in the bunk room, which is outfitted with games, toys, and tech. Although there's a full kitchen, if you don't feel like cooking, the house manager can arrange to hire a private chef.

Built in 1941, this Tudor-style grande dame with a fascinating interior of priceless Western paintings and artifacts is just a block from Town Square and feels as though it's been around as long as the Tetons, but its inviting rooms feel up-to-date and feature woodsy, Western-style furnishings made locally. A fireplace warms the grand lobby, and the sitting area just up the stairs is a memorable place to read a book or reflect on a day of skiing and hiking. You can sip a drink in the Silver Dollar Bar and Grill—aptly named for the 2,032 silver dollars embedded on top of the bar—or amble through swinging doors into the restaurant for a fine meal. Located at the base of Snow King Mountain ski area and eight blocks from Town Square, this mid-rise resort with conventional rooms and condo rentals has a modern Western look, a mountainside restaurant, a cycling and ski shop, and outdoor firepits near the beautiful pool. No motel in Jackson has a better location—or a bigger hot tub (it seats 25 people)—than this old-school lodging, a block south of Town Square. Many rooms have fireplaces, and a few have jetted tubs, but otherwise they're standard motel rooms. In winter, there's a complimentary ski shuttle.

This member of Marriott's prestigious Autograph Collection opened in 2021, just a two-minute walk from Jackson Town Square. The stylish interior, with its impressive stonework (including a 3,000-pound boulder that is used as the front desk) is far from cookie cutter. Rooms have hardwood flooring, with chic rugs, and the bathrooms have sliding barn wood doors, to save space. Most rooms, with the exception of the double-queen rooms, have gas fireplaces. For the best views, request a room facing Center Street, where you'll be able to see Snow King Mountain. You also can't go wrong with the 875-square-foot Cloudveil Suite, which has a private balcony and soaking tub. The on-site restaurant, The Bistro, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a Parisian flair.

This friendly, well-maintained establishment—with freestanding log cabins with kitchenettes, covered decks, and barbecue grills—is one of the better values in Jackson. It's just a 15-minute walk from the Town Square but on a relatively quiet side street. Kids love the cabins with bunk beds. Free continental breakfast is offered during the ski season, but coffee service is year-round.

A full renovation was completed in 2017 to bring the property into the 21st century, and air-conditioning was added in 2023. All rooms and suites have kitchenettes and share on-site laundry. 

With four different slopeside buildings and an array of units including traditional rooms, suites, and lofts, there's something for every style of traveler at this hidden gem ski resort on the west side of the Tetons. Families appreciate the spacious 2-bedroom/2½-bathroom Tower Suites which sleep up to eight, and the Sioux Loft Suites which, despite having just one bedroom and bathroom, sleep seven. While the smaller units don't include frills like a full kitchen, tub, or gas fireplace, they all have boot dryers.  During certain holidays, there may be a three-night minimum.

Owners Fabian and Krista Lobera poured their blood, sweat, and tears into transforming a dilapidated motor inn, built in 1941, from a Main Street eyesore to a Main Street mainstay. It opened in 2023, and a brewery, housed in a former service station, opened next door in 2024. Rooms all feature bright yellow doors and are accessible via key codes. While the outside of the building is modest, and there’s no pool or fitness center, the contemporary, light-filled interiors are worthy of a magazine photo shoot. No detail, from the smart thermostat to the makeup face towels, was overlooked. The property is pet-friendly, and the extended-stay rooms feature kitchenettes with a colored iio Retro Series refrigerator, microwave, and separate sitting area.

Well-regarded, this family-owned lodging has cabins and a small camping area/RV park in a cottonwood grove. It's 3 miles east of Dubois, with a view of the painted badlands.

Despite a location just three blocks from Jackson's bustling town square, this charming two-story inn is quiet and cozy. Forget Ikea: rooms and suites feature rich, hickory furniture, a Western motif, and custom Alder wood cabinetry. Within walking distance of Town Square, this hotel, formerly known as The Lexington, features modern furnishings and lots of light. An appealing base, it also has some of the town's best-appointed rooms for people with disabilities. An open reception desk, plenty of tall windows, ample sitting space, and a stone fireplace greet guests at check-in. The complimentary all-day hot drink bar and fresh chocolate chip cookies in the evening are nice touches.

Built in 2002, this five-story slope-side stone lodge (with a lobby renovated in winter 2023–24) has rooms with balconies offering views of both the mountain and the Snake River Valley. It’s within walking distance of the lifts but far enough from the main drag to feel like a relaxing retreat. It even has a full-service, 12,000-square-foot spa called SpaTerre. Kids will love the indoor and outdoor pools (there are also five hot tubs including one that seats 22) and the complimentary s’mores stations in the lobby every night. And dogs are not only welcome here, they’re celebrated; their Noble Paws amenity includes a plush bed, treats, waste bags, and a toy.
