No other part of Wyoming has such a variety of lodging properties that appeal to all budgets. Lodging options in the area include elegant and expensive properties such as the Amangani and Four Seasons resorts in Jackson Hole, guest ranches in the Dubois and Jackson areas, historic inns, simple cabins, and dozens of chain motels.
It’s a good idea to reserve well ahead for lodging in the town of Jackson in July and August. You should also reserve lodgings at Teton Village well in advance for skiing at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.
This log lodge–style bed-and-breakfast, undergoing major renovations in 2025 and 2026, was built out of reclaimed wood from the 1988 Yellowstone National Park wildfire. With only ten rooms, every guest receives special attention, and it's a popular wedding venue. Although the rooms are well-appointed, you may want to just relax by the three-story river rock fireplace in the Great Room.
The Lander flour mill was built in 1888 and remained in operation in 1950, becoming a local institution and one of the first buildings you see upon entering the town. Now the Mill House is a boutique hotel (bookable on Airbnb by the room or by the whole place) right in the heart of downtown Lander. With beautiful suites paying homage to the residents and travelers, the Mill House is a modern take on vintage styling.
Huge pine trees surround this 1933 log home filled with the owner's family antiques. Downstairs there's a sitting room where you can relax with a book or chat with other guests. The master bedroom, with a fireplace, private bathroom, and private entrance, is also on the ground floor. Two of the upstairs bedrooms share bathroom facilities; the other two have private bathrooms, and one has a wood-burning fireplace. The suite has a kitchenette.
With a mix of smartly furnished rooms and cabin suites in a group of buildings that includes the historic main inn building and a newer building whose rooms have views of Snow King Mountain, this cozy and cushy inn abounds with inviting touches: soft robes, tasteful furnishings, and in some cases, gas fireplaces. Lavish, artfully plated breakfasts are available in the morning, and the in-town location is convenient to local restaurants and shops yet on a quiet residential street away from the buzz of tourists.
On a steep hillside and surrounded by trees, this lodgepole pine bed-and-breakfast is a real retreat. Nearly 100 steps lead to a front door tucked away in a cool forest. Decks abound, rooms are full of wood furniture and warm southwestern colors, and an inviting common area has a two-story old-fashioned adobe fireplace.
